I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon; I possess a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, a Master's Degree in Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University in Portland, OR.
I utilize various theoretical approaches to guide my work with individuals, couples and families.  I have been in the behavioral health field since 1985 and my experience includes work in hospitals,  psychiatric residential treatment centers with children and families as both a counselor and clinical supervisor, community mental health agencies as a lead therapist and crisis counselor.  I have extensive experience in both traditional and intensive outpatient therapy with individuals and families.

I am a former board member with the Oregon Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (OAMFT), an Associate Member with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, member of the American Counseling Association and a qualified Clinical Supervisor.

I have been married for 26 years and have two teenage daughters.  Current interests outside of practicing therapy are spending time with my family, classical music, skiing, and riding motorcycles.

Please be advised that my practice is part time and I am located in the offices of Lifeencounter Counseling with my colleague Nathan Hawkins, LPC.
