I am a Qualified Clinical Supervisor in the State of Oregon for interns pursuing Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have completed the necessary 30 Hour Clinical Supervision Course. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am systemically trained in working with Couples and Families in therapy. I have been practicing Marriage and Family Therapy for 12 years and have been practicing therapy in general since 1993.
Below are the criteria for supervisors for both LPC and LMFT as per the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists Website.
SUPERVISOR CRITERIA FOR LPC CANDIDATES
1. Hold a masters degree in counseling [psychology, social work, education counseling, medicine, marriage & family] will be considered.
2. Have completed at least three years of clinically supervised experience as a licensed mental health professional.
3. Before start of supervision have completed at least 30 clock hours of post-masters training [NOT experience] in how to be a supervisor (for supervision after June 30, 1992). Training may come from doctoral courses, workshops, or seminars.
4. Hold a state license as a counselor or similar [clinical psychologist, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist].
OR
IN LIEU OF #1—4 above: be an AAMFT-approved supervisor, a NBCC-approved clinical supervisor, or an AAPC diplomate.
SUPERVISOR CRITERIA FOR LMFT CANDIDATES
1. Had specific training in the systemic approach to couples and family therapy.
2. Have completed at least five years clinical experience as a marriage and family therapist.
3. Before start of supervision have completed at least 30 clock hours of post-masters training [NOT experience] in how to be a supervisor (for supervision after June 30 1992). Training may come from doctoral courses, workshops, or seminars.
4. Hold a state license as a marriage and family therapist or similar [clinical psychologist, clinical social worker, professional counselor].
OR
IN LIEU OF #1—4 above: be an AAMFT- approved supervisor, a NBCC-approved clinical supervisor, or an AAPC diplomate.

My fee for clincal supervision is $75.00 per session.
Supervision process: My ultimate goal of providing supervison is to protect the clients and do no harm to the clients that you serve by providing you with the best possible clinical supervision. In providing you with clinical supervision my role is one of teacher, coach, and consultant to help you master the skills necessary to become an independent ethical clinician. Additionally, I have the ethical and legal responsibility of all your actions with your clients while you are in supervision with me. The success of supervision will depend on an open, collaborative and trusting relationship.
